On May 13, 1978, Ephrata High School's Sheila Mellinger (left) and Jim High had quite a day at the Lancaster Lebanon League Track Championships. Only a junior, Mellinger captured firsts in the 100, 220 and 440; while High took the gold in the 100 and 200.
