EPHRATA - Editor,
Ephrata Review,
I viewed a documentary playing
locally at Penn Cinema (now at Regal), called "Expelled," a show
not to be missed.
The theme of Expelled is that there is no longer
academic freedom in our hallowed halls of learning. To challenge the theory
of evolution, dare to even suggest intelligent design and expulsion will be
the result.
When the denials of intelligent design became ridiculous
the crowd would burst out laughing. It sounded like an echo from Heaven,
spoken of in Psalm 2. When men rage, imagine vain things and say, let us
cast off our bonds. God laughs and holds them in derision.
Just how
ridiculous did it get? When pressed on the question of where did life on
earth come from atheist, Richard Dawkins finally had to say it was
"probably" brought here by aliens Probably? Probably? I'm
sorry, but probably is not sufficient evidence for any thinking person to
accept anything as fact. Psalms 14 also says, the fool has said in his
heart there is no God.
I suppose all of us are laughed at for some
act of foolishness in this life sometimes and it doesn't really matter.
What we don't want to happen is to be laughed at by the King of
Heaven.
