EPHRATA, PA - The Ephrata National Bank posted earnings of $1,611,000 for the second quarter of 2005, a 3.3% decrease from the $1,666,000 earned during the second quarter of 2004. Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2005, was $3,472,000, a 3.3% increase from the $3,361,000 earned during the same period in 2004. Earnings per share for the second quarter of 2005 were $0.55, a decrease from $0.57 for the same period in 2004. Year-to-date earnings per share increased from $1.14 in 2004 to $1.18 in 2005.
