Akron bank robber suspect arrested

- A man was arrested on Tuesday for the robbery of the Ephrata National Bank in Akron that took place on Friday, Aug. 31.
Avel T. Shkurko was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after state police in Ephrata spotted his 1998 Mazda at the intersection of Route 501 and 322 and took him into custody.
