Edith Good, 87, Stevens
Edith Rebecca (Seibel) Good, 87, of Stevens, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Earl Township to the late Amos and Lydia (Reinhart) Newswanger and was the wife of Paul B. Good.
She was a member of New Haven Mennonite Church Mid Atlantic Conference.
In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by nine children: Dale N., husband of Marian (Hursh) Seibel, of Hopewell; Darlene N., wife of Clarence Kreider, of Myerstown; LaVerne N., wife of Paul Groff, of Stevens; Shirley N., wife of Carl Martin, of Newmanstown; Leonard N., husband of Norma (Lehman) Seibel, of Mt. Pleasant Mills; Edith N., wife of the late R. Carl Martin, of Myerstown; Margie N., wife of Reed High, of Jonestown; Lydia N., wife of Anthony Sweigart, of Fortworth, Miss.; and Jane N., wife of Vernon Geigley of Lancaster; five stepchildren: Harold B., husband of Miriam (Zimmerman) Good, of Stevens; Ruth B., wife of Earl Horst, of Tamaqua; Melvin B., husband of Verna (Fox) Good, of Long Island, Va.; Loretta B., wife of Sylvan Witmer, of Womelsdorf; Rhoda B., wife of Vernon Weaver, of Stevens; two brothers: Amos, husband of Arlene (Gehman) Newswanger Jr., of Pine Grove; Robert, husband of Elva (Martin) Newswanger, of Ephrata; one sister: Anna, wife of Ira Ginder, of Denver; 41 grandchildren; 27 step-grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 76 step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband: Leonard Seibel; a daughter in law: Joyce (Hoover) Seibel, five brothers: Walter, Paul, Raymond, Lester and Richard Newswanger; a sister: Elsie Martin; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service was held Sept. 10 at New Haven Mennonite Church, Lititz, with Glen Fox, Larry Graber, LeRoy Martin and Byron Wolfer officiating.
Interment took place in the Martindale Mennonite Cemetery.
