Classic cars will cruise Reamstown Days



Classic cars like this 1968 Camaro will be showcased in the cruise at Reamstown Days Sept. 7.

Reamstown Days will include a classic car cruise on Sept. 7. Anyone wishing to display their classic vehicle is invited to bring it to the Reamstown Memorial Park around 5 p.m.

There will be no admission fee charged, and prizes will be awarded. The car cruise is being sponsored by Countryside Auto Center in Adamstown.

Several other festivities are also scheduled for Reamstown Days, Sept. 7 and 8.

On Friday evening there will also be food, DJ music, a live band, the Moonshine, at 7 p.m., games for both kids and adults and kids barrel train rides.

Saturday’s schedule includes a quoits tournament from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. a "horse race at 5:30 p.m., DJ music from 5 to 7 p.m.; the nationally known band, Rick K. and the Allnighters, sponsored by Reamstown Mutual Insurance Company, at 7 p.m.; food; games; and much more.

The Battle of the Bands is a new element in this year’s entertainment. Three exciting local bands will be competing for cash and prizes Saturday at 11:30 a.m. — Vita Mansion, The Pause and Jumping the English Channel.
