Ida Martin, 94, East Earl
Ida N. Martin, 94, of East Earl, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.
She was born in Lancaster County to the late Joseph R. and Lizzie M. (Nolt) Oberholtzer and was the wife of the late Paul M. Martin, who died July 1983.
Ida was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church.
Ida is survived by a son: Norman, husband of Ruth Martin, of Myerstown; two daughters: Elva, wife of the late Delmas Burkholder, of Peach Bottom; Irene, wife of Samuel Hurst, of East Earl; 10 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 34 step great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-great-grandchildren; brother: John Oberholtzer, of Richland; and sister: Lydia, wife of the late Menno Weaver, of Myerstown.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two great- grandchildren; three brothers: Levi and Amos Oberholtzer and an infant brother; and five sisters: Mary Horst, Anna Sensenig, Ella Martin, Lizzie Martin and Katie Oberholtzer.
Funeral services were held April 18 from the Springville Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference, Ephrata Township, with Bishop Leon S. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
