Boone’s appearance highlights Lions Show – PSU s Zug now unable to attend
The Ephrata Lions Club is sponsoring its 32nd annual Sports Card Show and Auction on Saturday, March 26, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Ephrata Recreation Center (130 South Academy Drive, Ephrata. Approximately 40 sports memorabilia dealers will be present to buy, sell, and trade baseball cards and other sports-related items. Between 11 and 1 p.m., form Philadelphia Phillies catcher Bob Boone will sign autographs for attendees purchasing tickets. Boone appears courtesy of the Ephrata National Bank and the Ephrata Lions Club. Former Penn State University and Manheim Central High School wide receiver Graham Zug was scheduled to be on hand as well. However, due to committments with his new job, he will now be unable to attend. Representatives from the Lancaster Barnstormers (of the Atlantic League, an independent professional baseball league) will still be present throughout the day. Autographs by Boone are $10 each, with a limit of three per paid admission. Only 400 autographs will be sold. Additional autographs will be sold if time permits. No mail orders will be accepted, and there are no advanced ticket sales. Attendees may bring their own items to be autographed, or items may be purchased from dealers or from the Ephrata Lions Club. A sports memorabilia auction will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. Admission to the show is $3 for adults, $1 for children under 12. More LIONS, page B-4
